Abstract

The growing complexity of technical education demands personalized learning systems that can adapt to diverse student needs. Traditional approaches, based on static tasks or fixed rules, struggle to support the development of critical problem-solving skills. While current adaptive systems provide some personalization, they remain limited by scalability and computational demands. This study introduces a deep learning–based adaptive learning system that adjusts task difficulty in real time to enhance problem-solving performance among technical college students. A controlled eight-week experiment with 200 participants showed that students using the system improved their precision by 14% (71.8% to 85%), compared to 5% in the control group, and reduced their average task time by 15% (105s vs. 124s). These results highlight the system’s effectiveness in improving accuracy, efficiency, and learner engagement. The proposed solution offers a scalable and personalized approach to advancing adaptive learning in technical education.
